About Me

Mauro Vasgal is a musical and multilingual project from the Ecuadorian musician Mauricio Vasquez Galeas (1986, Quito-Ecuador). He studied music (Lyrical singing and classic guitar) in the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Quito and electric guitar with private tutors. He sang in professional choirs in Ecuador with whom he participated in important international Festivals such Merida 2008 / Puebla 2009 (Mexico) and Miltenberg 2014 (Germany). He was also founder, composer, guitarist, singer and musical director of the funk band “La Urba”. Since 2015 he is living in Ingolstadt, Germany and this move gave him the opportunity to discover new sounds, musical influences and a passion for languages. In 2019 Mauro Vasgal Projekt was born with a mix of powerful rhythms like disco, funk and jazz with big doses of traditional Latin elements such as congas, claves and tumbao keyboard lines.
